Day – 10
1) You have been newly appointed as a junior professor on probation in one of the reputed colleges in the country. You need to perform well in your job to be appointed as a permanent employee in the college. As a child, you dreamt of being a teacher, one of the inspirations behind this dream is your parents who were professors too. They hope that you imbibe an attitude that revolves around ensuring the holistic development of the students.
A few days into your job, you come to understand the ground reality of the college where some senior lecturers are engaged in private tutorials at the cost of their responsibility to the college. The principal of the college is biased towards these senior lecturers since they are his long-time colleagues. Furthermore, due to the neglect of these senior lecturers in the college, the academic standards are slowly reducing and it is prompting anxiety amongst the students; few of them even resort to drugs to deal with this situation.
When you confronted this with some of your colleagues, they advised you to let it go since it would entail your probation being cut-short, their advice is based on past experiences where the person who complained was summarily suspended due to frivolous reasons.

In an unfortunate turn of events, a report of institutionalized racism came into light after disturbing incidents reported by a player who was subjected to consistent and debilitating humiliation by members of a famous private cricket club for many years. Though a report was made by this player to the concerned authorities, no credible action was taken on his complaints. This resulted in further victimization of the player.
After this news got worldwide attention, you have been appointed as interim president of the cricket club.
