In Part III of the Constitution, which assures people certain fundamental Rights, Article 25 proclaims that “all persons are equally entitled to freedom of conscience and the Right freely to profess, practise and propagate religion”. Political theorists no doubt have to take history of injustice, for example untouchability, seriously. The concept of historical injustice takes note of avariety of historical wrongs that continue into the present in some form or the other and tend to resist repair.
